TIGER’S TROUBLES

“Man that is born of a woman is

Of few days, and full of trouble”

Job 14.1

The slue of trouble that has seemed to engulf professional golfer, Tiger Woods, reveals a biblical reality: All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3.23. The façade has been stripped away. The baby face and clean shaven demeanor have slipped. The innocence of youth has given way to a historical demise.

None of us can stake a claim to a righteousness independent of God. Each of us have skeletons in the closet that we’d rather ignore and just as soon forget. Deeds and misdeeds that bring us shame. We need to be saved from our sins.

Jesus forgives sins. To the woman caught in adultery He queried, “Where are thine accusers? Has no man condemned thee?” She answered, “No man, Lord.” He said, “Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more”. John 8.11. Thank God for Jesus, who loves us despite us. Who gave His life for us, that we might be saved. Again, we say, Thank God for Jesus.
