HIRE RICK “And when they were come that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny” Matthew 20.9
I suppose by now it’s a foregone conclusion that Rick Snyder will be sworn in as the next governor of the State of Michigan. He ran a successful campaign on the suggestion that if you ‘hire Rick’, that like a plumber, he’ll fix what’s wrong with Michigan. It’s a slogan that resonated with a lot of voters tired of politicians and their promises. Well, we’ll see how Rick does.
But who can fix our souls? There’s no question our lives and our souls are in trouble. The scriptures confirm that “man that is born of woman is of few days, and full of trouble”, Job 14.1. Our marriages are broken, our lives in tatters, our health is precarious and our souls are in jeopardy. We need a quick fix.
Jesus can fix it for you. He is a ‘Fix-It Man’. Whatever the problem, whatever the need, Hire Jesus. If you hire Jesus, He will hire you. Come late or come early, just come. Every man or woman receives the same reward: Salvation in Christ. Hire Jesus. Jesus will fix it for you.
