3 Little Boys “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, answered And said to the king…our God whom we serve Is able to deliver us from the fiery furnace…” Daniel 3.16-17
The fate of 3 little boys, Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton, missing since Thanksgiving Day, has been a question that has gripped the nation, the state and the tiny town of Morenci, Michigan. Whether you believe their father, who insists that he gave them to a woman named Joann, or believe they are the victims of foul play, is a matter of choice. One thing is certain: Their fate- is in the hands of God.
A similar fate awaited 3 Hebrew boys by the name of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Faced with the prospect of worshipping the king or facing death in a fiery furnace, they made their choice clear: Our God is able. Our God is able to deliver us; Our God is able to keep us; Our God is able to protect us. We will serve the True and Living God. Our fate is in His Hands.
Whether we believe it or not, our fate is in the Hands of God. Among the myriad of choices we will make in a day, only one choice is important: Choosing Christ as your Savior. No matter what you’re facing, He can and will deliver you. He will save you. The Psalmist has declared, “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein”. Psalm 24.1. A simple prayer will do: “I am thine, save me”, Psalm 119.94. Save, Lord. Save us.
Because He Lives,
