2ND ANNUAL BLACK BEAUTY SUPPLY ENTREPRENEURSHIP
CONFERENCE
Atlanta, GA (BlackNews.com)
-- Beauty Supply Institute has announced the 2nd Annual
Beauty Supply Entrepreneurship Conference to take place
in Atlanta, Georgia on August 21, 2010, during the
weekend of the Bronner Brothers Hair Show.
The conference consists of 6
classes to be administered during the one-day
conference. Conference attendees will be given
materials that covers store layout, obtaining funding,
selecting a location and more. Classes includes
"Avoiding Pitfalls-Navigating the Booby Trapped
Industry, Lease Negotiation, Unconventional Streams of
Store Income and more."
Professor Devin Robinson,
the founder of Beauty Supply Institute, comments,
"There is no other conference that addresses the
specific needs of entrepreneurs wanting to become
retailers in the beauty industry. We ignore the
fluff typically found at shows, and invasively
educate the attendees."
The conference attracted
attendees from all around the U.S. last year and
is expected to duplicate this success. Robinson
founded Beauty Supply Institute after he opened 3
stores within 18 months. His motivation came after
being threatened with a golf club and kicked out
of a store by a Korean store owner while shopping
for products.
The conference will take
place at the Westin Airport Hotel. Rooms are
available at a special conference discount.
Seats are limited and registration will be
closed after capacity has been reached. To
register, visit
www.beautysupplyconference.com or call

"Chris Rock delivers.
Highly entertaining.
Rock has flawless timing!"
SCOTT BROWN, NEW YORK MAGAZINE
"This is by far the most accomplished and affecting work from
the gifted Mr. Guirgis, a prolific and erratic chronicler of
marginal lives. The title really is the right one for this fast
and furious study of lives in collision. The characters
portrayed by a marvelous, intensely focused five-member ensemble
– including the stand-up comic Chris Rock, in a solid Broadway
debut, and a blazingly good Bobby Cannavale."

Delightful and tender."

TURN UP THAT DIAL!
From the underground dance clubs of 1950s Memphis,
Tennessee, by way of hit runs at the La Jolla
Playhouse and Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre, comes a
hot new Broadway musical - inspired by actual events
- with heart, soul and energy to burn. He's a young,
white radio DJ named Huey Calhoun (Chad Kimball),
whose love of music transcends race lines and
airwaves. She's a black singer named Felicia Farrell
(Montego Glover), whose career is on the rise, but
who can't break out of segregated clubs. When the
two collaborate, her soulful music reaches radio
audiences everywhere, and the Golden Era of early
rock 'n' roll takes flight. But as things start to
heat up, whether the world is really ready for their
music - or their love - is put to the test.
A thrilling theatrical event that combines
Broadway splendor with the roots of rock,
MEMPHIS features an original story by Joe
DiPietro (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now
Change) and a brand-new score with music by
Bon Jovi keyboardist and founding member David
Bryan. DiPietro and Bryan also collaborated on the
2009 award-winning Off-Broadway hit, The Toxic
Avenger. Directing is Tony®
nominee Christopher Ashley (Xanadu) and
choreography is by Sergio Trujillo (Jersey
Boys).
Get ready to experience all the exuberance and the
emotion... the beauty and the controversy... of a
wondrous, defining time in our history.
You're tuning in to
MEMPHIS.
